Cable TV takes home the 26th JA Cup

[中文][Apr 2011 - The Journalist] Cable TV carried home the JA Cup this year, trouncing Apple Daily 4-0 the Happy Valley contests also Hartiend FC narrowly kicking Chai Wah Wah off the top of the league 5-4. Chai Wah Wah, last year's champion, is this year's third runner-up.

The Hartiend FC team is made up of sports reporters.

Apple Daily's Fung Kwok-hong won the Best Scorer Prize with a total 12 goals in the tournament.

The Executive Director of the Cable TV, Mr. Chui Ying-chun and the News Director of the Cable TV, Mr. William Fung and the Editorial Writer of the Apple Daily, Mr. Fung Wai-kwong attended the finals.

Cable TV had a news crew on hand to cover the final match.

Mr. Chui and Mr. Fung were full of praise for the performance of the Cable TV News team. Mr. Fung said: “Although the bonus this year for reporters is not good, they still played hard to win, I hope the senior management of the Cable TV acknowledges it.”

In other friendlies, HKJA won 3:1 over the Information Services Department team but lost 1:3 to the Clube de Journalists de Macau team.

Mr. Wong Wai0lun, Director of the Information Services; Deputy Director Mrs Juliana Chen and Mr. Tse Cheung-hing, three Assistant Directors, Mrs. Pauline Ling Lo, Mr. Matthew Leung Man-to and Ms Jean Ip were also at Happy Valley to support GIS team.

The winners received their prizes from Mrs Chan, Mr. Tse, Mrs Ling Lo, Ms. Mak Yin-ting and Dr. Eric Li, Chairman of Hong Kong Sports Institute.
